i was going to put in a new video card inmy compaq presario 6000. it has a motehrboard graphics driver... i think i uninstalled it by accident becasue, now my pc will not come on. the cpu comes on kicks off, montior is black whole time durning this, kicks back on and runs and montoir willnotcomeon, then the num lock light on the keyboard blinks... and the cpu is on but i cannt see becasue the monitor is just black... i have an intel gl controller type thingy for a motherboard vidoe driver.... windows xp home... it worked fine and then i clciked on remove driver and it restarted on me.. and now i cannt fix it... i held the cntrl key,still nothing.. HELP OH GOD HELP!!!!!!!!!! imabotu to throw it out... please help me...

i can get a new card agp, ati redeaon 9200 to put in if nessacary..so that is an option as well... but i want to fix it back the way IT WAS!! HELP !! :(

Just where did you click on 'remove driver'? Did you remove 'Display adapter' drivers or monitor drivers? Usually both are found in Device Manager.

First test your monitor on another system. If it works, put a video card in your Presario and hook the monitor to it. Boot up and see if you can at least get into BIOS to set things as you need to. Afterwards of course, reboot into Windows (or whatever OS) and load the drivers for the new card.
