Hi folks, hopefully you can help me.
I keep getting these Explorer errors, indicating internal errors. When this happens, it will freeze up internet explorer, sometimes it will freeze up My Computer so that I can't get to the control panel. I try to go to settings and then the control panel and it's frozen also. I did copy the details when I got the explorer error. Here's what it gave me.

EXPLORER caused an invalid page fault in
module <unknown> at 0000:0164139e.

Try reading this http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;q187965 and this may help http://www.anetforums.com/thread.asp?Action=Read&ThreadIndex=4180
Now go to my computer, control panel, add and remove programs, and click on internet explorier and remove it, use the option to repair.
If this does not work install the latest version of internet explorier, maybe version 6.

One day I will be a pro, Thanks Andy

I've already tried uninstalling IE and replacing it. My netscape works fine but I like IE better. I still don't understand why the freezing up of IE affect and freezes up My Computer folder as well as others. hanks anyway.

Which OS are you using and which versions of IE have you previously installed/uninstalled. If you've already been to IE6 that could ACTUALLY BE the cause of your problems. It could be worth reading through THIS PREVIOUS THREAD (http://www.pcguide.com/ubb/Forum2/HTML/003104.html) if you wonder why.

I have often seen suggestions to upgrade products that are giving problems as a raw solution. IMHO it is generally better to go back in time (if one can) than to leap "forwards"; or at least to uninstall/eradicate first. The problem with IE is that each new version gets more and more deeply embedded within the OS. http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/wink.gif
