I am running Windows XP and lost my virus protection for a short time. I now have a problem with the SERVICES.EXE process running at maximum all of the time. My CPU usage stays at 100% after the computer comes up and remains at that level until I shut down. I have great difficulty with starting and shutting down the computer. I have run Spybot, SpyDoctor and haven't been able to fix the problem. Do you have any suggestions???

You won't fix viruses with Spybot or AdAware.
Download Stinger (http://vil.nai.com/vil/stinger/) tool on a clean PC, transfer to a clean floppy and write protect it, boot the infected PC in SAFE mode (F8) after disconnecting from everything (No LAN or modem connection) and run a scan. This should allow you to get control of the PC.
