Can someone tell me what ViVo means?

Well, because i don't like to just search the web. Lots of weird stuff out there. The last time i searched ASUS, i got some german scraficial cultist website, and personally, i'm not really interested in those things.

Heres the first item on ViVo http://www.real.com/vivo/index.html

not very helpful unless ur a realplayer fan or u can't get a girl (the playboy ad).

Well, we're going to tell you to use Google or some search engine and look it up. You don't learn if we hand it to you on a platter, you learn if you work for it. Your parents told you not to play with electricity, but you paid no attention till you stuck a hair pin into a wall socket...A friend's daughter refused to listen and just HAD to touch a heater that was burning in the living room...forever after she knew what HOT meant...

Same principle. All you have to do is read the descriptions, nobody forced you to click on a link to a cultist website or a biotech company, Google's descriptions are usually good enough you can tell a website has nothing to do with computers if you're looking up computer related information.

We can't help you much by spoon feeding you, sooner or later you have to do it yourself or it just won't sink in as well.

Try this link to explain what ViVo is, although it apparently did not catch on (streaming video capture technology).

I have no problem using Google, it can be your friend if you need to get clues in a hurry. You do have to turn on your brain to determine the good stuff from the bad at any site on the Web.

It seems like you are asking us to take the risk that you don't want to take by searching Google for you... How do you think we answer many of the questions asked here?? I figured out what ViVo was just by looking at the Search page, so it often isn't even necessary to click on a link to get an answer...

Arg, sorry. I have dialup so i try and click on the smallest amount of links possible. And the reason that i don't want to use google is that my little sisters (4-8 years old) frequently play in my computer room. I don't want them seeing anything inappropriate.

NetNanny type programs are appropriate to protect kids online. As you get older you will understand you have to protect the right to free access as well as protect the innocent.

Nobody is asking you to leave, we just don't like being asked to do the work for someone who clearly knows how to do it for him/herself... If you were a complete novice and didn't know how to use Google, I would gladly give you some tips...

As for your sisters, as long as you are careful about what you click on, there is very little chance that they will see anything inappropriate... Google doesn't even have pictures except in their logo...

Keep asking and learning and offering help at the level of your ability... :)

Try 28,800 sometime, that's about as fast as it gets around here, and in a good wet spell, 26,400 is about average.

Plus typing time...

No, nobody wants you to go away, we're simply doing the exact same thing we've done for 4 years. We help people, but we prompt them to do it themselves too. Back to what I intended to point out earlier, you won't learn if we hand it to you, it's too easy. We can point out the general direction and if you go to the trouble to look it up you'll remember a whole lot more of the information you get. It doesn't concern specifically and only you, it's been our way of doing things with everyone for a long time.

And we ain't changin'... :D
