United Virtuallitties(inc) have developed a new type of cookie called the "Persistent Identification Element". What this does is bypass/circumvent any and all efforts to delete these cookies fromm your computer. These cookies are used with "Flash based adverts". No matter how many times you delete the advert it keeps coming back.

The reason for this is that a copy of the cookie is sent to the FLASH folder and PIE sees that the cookie has been delelted and goes to the flash folder to retrives a back-up of it and restores it to the browsers cache. The result the Advert keeps returning.

The first link explains more clearly than I can.

The second link takes you to Macromedia (the company who makes flash)instructions on how to deal with this

No problem, if someone sees the information here in your post instead of in the other post, that is a good thing. We both felt it important enough to share the warning.
