I,m having problems with my video card configuration ...I think.
I have a ATI RADEON 9250 card , 128MB DDR, 8X AGP video card. I have this card plugged into the AGP slot of my DFI K8T800PRO-ALF motherboard. When I go to my device manager and look at the properties feature its says ..."PCI bus1, device 0 .
Is this normal? Shouldn't I read AGP instead of PCI?

did you take out your old pci card? The system still wants to use it. Did windows "see" the new card and the 'install new hardware' pop-up?

actually this is a new build. I have a DFI board with a dedicated AGP slot. Anyway I went to the website for DFI and read a few post in their forums and learned that this is in fact normal.
I have a basic question .. after trying 1 billion tweaks between my BIOS, the catalyst ATI RADEON, Windows XP and an application I am trying to get to work properly I have given up. Yup..I'm about to throw in the towel. If I no longer want to deal with this graphic card issue ..what would be your advise to me on my next purchase.
The thing is .. I don't want to play games ..I want to animate. So I'm thinking buying a system with an integrated graphic card might be the way to go.
Right now I downloaded the latest drivers from ATI and as I was using the animation application the monitor just went blank on me ...3 times !! These system appears to be trial and error ..until you get it right because the manuals don;t tell you much. But what complicates the matter is that you have ever increasing features which makes the amount of possible combinations near infinity!!!
