I was thinking of taking a course on PC Repair through Thomson education Direct formerly ICS (International Correspondence School). Does anyone have any advice or taken this course. I would appreciate any feedback.
Thanks,

I haven't taken any courses by that publishing company, but I would advise doing a basic search on the web for non-biased opinions from people who have taken their courses. If the quality of the course is in line with the cost and the info presented is correct, I say go ahead and take it. You can never learn too much when it comes to computers!

personally I'd just get a good book and teach myself. find out what book they use and buy it. if it's distance learning (online?) they're just going to quote from the text and give you chapter assignments. save the money.

I agree, UNLESS the school is one of those that provide one-on-one interactive or email tutoring to answer your specific questions. That could be of some value to you.
