yes. i tried and work fine. But in that case my pc is not in power off. in hibernate mode my pc shuts down fine but it doesnt start automatically at the scheduled time.and then when i start it manually it stucks and blank screen and i hae to rebbot again to enter windows .
It appears that the iuvcr program may be designed to wake your system from standby only, and not from a hibernation state.
Besides, standby should be able to shut down your monitor and HD, which are the 2 biggest power users on your system.

Both hibernate and suspend (if that's what you're calling standby), have always had problems, I never use either. OR is Standby what win2000 calls it? I can't remember, haven't worked on Win2000 in a while. When I first got my [used] laptop somebody had it set to hibernate and it was a pain to get it running again. (WinME) Disabled hibernate, set power management to shut down monitor and hard drive and it works perfect.
Try it the way ski suggested, let power management just shut down monitor then hard drive and see how that works. Those are the two bigest power hogs, and the program should be able to handle it too. If you use one, make sure your screensaver comes on BEFORE PM shuts down the monitor, that causes lockups.
