hello,

my computer turns on and shuts down almost immediately. strangely, this only happens when my hard disks are plugged in.

does anyone know what's wrong with it?

I split the post into a new thread but the title will have to stay for now. It is unfortunate when members post into sticky posts with new problems.

Could you give us more information?

1. When the PC shuts down:
Does it seem "dead", or are there signs of life. Are any fans running or LED's glowing? Is power still being supplied from the mains to the PC?
2. How many drives of which type and which controllers are each connected to and how are they jumpered?
3. Was this PC previously working normally? Until when? Did you make any changes just before the problem arose.
