New Acer monitor driver?

I just got the wife a new Acer AL1714 LCD monitor for her old Win98SE box for Mothers' Day, might there be a driver upgrade required or does it just run the generic Windows PnP driver?

When I hooked up a used 15" LCD monitor to my 98SE box, it was PnP.

I have the exact same set-up: last weekend I hooked up the Acer AL1714ms and it worked straight away on an Win98 machine; no upgrades required.

Thanks guys, the issue was some text not displaying the complete letters on the bottom of a line. Her old PC has integrated graphics and may be the issue, I don't believe it is the monitor at fault.
