I hope a chose the right forum to ask this question. I'm looking for the best "media" interface solution for what I want. I want my PC to output to my TV in an adjacent room. It would also be nice if I can use my computer as a TiVo but I don't necessarily need a user friendly interface. Someone directed me to d-link media lounge (http://www.dlink.com/products/?sec=1&pid=318) which is close to what I want except I want to be able to see exactly what's on my computer monitor on my TV. The d-link system prepares your media content for tv viewing.
Also an important requirement is that I want the link to be through a network cable (or any other hard wire). I am not a fan of wireless (actually, I'm thinking of starting an anti-wireless website).
I know there's alot of devices out there. I'm just looking for opinions on brands, quality, flexibility, etc..
