I was wondering if any one else has heard of a case losing its ground? I was told it from a comptuer shop because of a new mobo that wouldnt startup in a case i had. They started it up outside the case and it worked fine so i had to buy a new case. They told me it happens from time to time. I still doesn't make sense to me but it worked.

Something similar just happened again to one of my friends comptuers. i would really like to figure out a fix for this problem instead of having to buy a new case? I started it up outside the case and it started up fine. Thanks.

You were probably trying to install a newer type mobo such as SATA into an older atx case and the PSU didn't have enough connectors.
