DVD-RAM Drive problems :'(

I recently got an LG dvd-ram drive it was working fine, and just a few days ago it started acting up it can read a cd or dvd but if i try to burn one it says the disc or drive is not ready :confused: . i have tried rebooting, removing programs installed in the past few days, even doing the xp repair of the disc but no luck :eek:

its called "HL-DT-ST DVD-RAM 4082B"

just wondering if anyone had any ideas of how to fix it or what the problem is

What exactly did you do while in the repair mode?
