I have HP Pavillion Model 6553, 466 MHz, Win98SE, M50 Monitor, 64MB RAM. My problem is that I downloaded a keyboard update and a M50 monitor update from HP website, and now my resolution is 480 by 600 or something. I had it set at 1024 by 728. I can't change it, it gives me another setting to choose from but its not the right one, and it wont let me do it. The color options are 2 color or 16 color, I had used true color or another high setting before. I can usually fix these kinds of problems, but not this one. Makes me feel like I am using Win 95 or something. Any help would be appreciated.

I am a bit of a noob on computers, I just joined this forum site to gain more understanding. I will give you my input on this though. Um, let's see. I'm not trying to say that you're stupid or anything, but are you sure the driver you downloaded is specifically for your keyboard? If so, my next question is: Do you really need this driver for your needs? Because if it's really not an important driver, I would just uninstall it. This should clear up the problem of your resolution. But if you really need it you could just uninstall it and reinstall the driver back. Well, this is my input on this. Just trying to help, but I think I would wait for the big boys to reply on this. They seem to know more about issues like these.
Good luck.
