I just purchased an Intel 530, 3.0GHz LGA775 processor with a fan and heatsink still in the box. I am going to put together another server for my LAN and need some more information if anyone has some answers... Does anyone know if these new LGA775 socket processors require a higher watt power supply? How about more fans for cooling in the case? I've looked at some of the cases available and seen some with five or more fans inside for cooling and I just wonder if a normal file or web server setup require these extra fans. Any suggestions will be appreciated.
Thanks,

Higher than what?
As for the cooling, the heatsink that comes stock with that processor is one of the best I've seen. Intel really did a good job on this one.
Case cooling is on a...well...case by case basis. I have a tendency to put a fan anywhere there is a spot for one but admit it is seldom needed. Start out with the minimum number of fans (3. 1 front, 1 rear, plus psu fan) and keep an eye on the temps. If they aren't where you want them, additional fans might be in order.
