My Mozilla Firefox was doing great for me until a few days ago. All of a sudden some buttons wouldn't click, some log-in info wouldn't log me in, some automatic forwarding links would not activate. I downloaded the latest Firefox, but no improvement. IE does great - no problems. Any ideas?

Here's my HJT just in case:

I tried WinsockFix on my computer but it did nothing for Firefox.

Your log looks clean. Have you tried uninstalling/reinstalling Firefox?

FastLearner,

I've uinstalled and re-installed Firefox without and without a re-boot inbetween. I've gone in and emptied the cache. I've deleted the Firefox folder. Firefox is not working well for me anymore.

Check out this page (http://www.tweakguides.com/Firefox_3.html). Scroll down to the section titled "Uninstalling Firefox." If you feel comfortable using regedit, I'd suggest doing that instead of downloading the registry cleaner.

Try following those steps, then reinstalling.

I've deleted the Firefox folder.

It could be something corrupted in the user profile.
Uninstalling and reinstalling does not delete the settings folder which is in C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\Mozilla.
After uninstalling, delete that folder as well.

If you wish, export your bookmarks by selecting Bookmarks> Manage Bookmarks. From the bookmarks window, select File> Export. Your bookmarks will be saved as a HTML file, which can be imported after reinstallation.

Thanks PentaChris and David Eaton!

I exported the bookmarks and uninstalled Firefox per the link's instructions. Then I rebooted and re-installed Firefox. Now it is working A-ok.

Again, thanks.
