It seems that everytime I reboot and turn my PC back on my firewall is disabled. The only thing that I could think was doing this was possibly my ZoneAlarm or a trojan of sorts.
Any advice?

If Zone Alarm is running, you don't need or want the Windows firewall. 2 firewalls = bad news!

I agree with David. If I were you, I would disable XP's firewall....

Definitely disable Windows firewall if you're running Zone Alarm, (or any other decent firewall) it's not even a shadow of the firewall ZA is to begin with and running two is not good...

OK. I am still a little curious as to why the windows firewall is shutting off automatically. Also, may I ask why it is not good to run 2 firewalls?
Thanks

Actually it is bad to run more than one Software firewall. I run a hardware firewall and a software firewall all the time with no issues whatsoever.

This is only a guess, but maybe the reason Windows firewall is shutting off is because of the fact that you have another firewall running. When Microsoft came out with their firewall, they even said that if you use their firewall you should not have another one running. As far as I understand it, the reason is because they simply conflict with one another.

Maybe it's just a matter of luck but on my older PC(a PIII celeron 1.0 ghz)on an MSI mobo, on my XP partition(it's also a dual boot)I have both the SP2 firewall as well as the free Sygate firewall running and experience no problems. ;)
