I believe my monitor is starting to go south for the winter. When I turn it on, I get about 1/2 of my monitor going black (lower half). The part thats going black is not a steady black but like a steady nervous jerk. Then it will stop for a while and then do it again. Also, there are a couple of black lines, very small but very noticeable up at the top. My question is this, I currently have a 3dfx 3voodoo card with 15.5mb supported open GI and I was thinking about replacing it with a new NVIDIA GeForce2.I will need a card that will support a mim of 16mb supported open GI. Will replacing the video card fix the problem or will I need to get a new monitor. Also, is there any tools that I can access via the web to check out to see if it is my monitor or my video card?
