EN on Welcome Screen

Hi. I just recently noticed on my Welcome screen, by my name it says EN next to the green > button. What is this? Can I get rid of it? It kinda annoys me. Thanks

It's to show the language (EN glish).
I don't think you can get rid of it.

I never had it before, and I dont have it on any other XP machines either

Actually, it may be because something has set Windows to Euro English (UK) instead of US English?

The same symbol can show up beside the system tray - but it only does so when enabled and when you have more than one language to choose from.

The choices are at ControlPanel -- RegionalAndLanguageOptions -- Languages -- Details

The enabling options are on the same path but reached from the Language Bar Button

Dont know how they might affect the logon screen though.

Of course now you have me wondering what you guys see on that side of the Atlantic when you change Regional settings.
