Have recently started to use an LCD monitor to supplement my Compaq Notebook screen. Installation was a breeze and everything works fine, with one slight annoying problem. I cannot seem to get video to play on the large screen. No probs with the notebook screen, but on the LCD all that shows is the rectangle where normally the video would play. I primarily use Windows Media to play my videos. All other media (i.e. photos) show up on both screens fine, but video is no go. Have referred to the Control Panel/Display/Settings where it shows Multiple Monitors on Radeo IGP 340M, my screen resoltuion is 1024 x 768 and Color Quality is set at the highest. I assume (from viewing some of the posts here) that the problem may reside with my video card; however, I have no idea what might be the fix. Seems strange that everything is flawless on my notebook screen and everything transfers seamlessly to my LCD with the exception of video. Thanks for any help in advance.

Because DVD is such a high power media, you can only view it on one device at a time. Change the view to only the LCD screen, then open WMP and try it. Note that your notebook's screen will stay black this entire time.
