If you open a link in a new window in IE6 the window is on top of everything else. I have tried it in Mozilla 0.9.2 and got the same effect. Is it possible to open a link in a new window and have that window open in the background?

Do you mean open in tabs?
Firefox 1.0.4 can do that.
I believe Maxthon (customized IE) can also do that, (don't cry to me about spyware infections)

Hi,

This is done by the coding of the web pages (Probably Javascript) rather than a user defined preference.

Unfortunately you are forced to open new windows infront of the parent window.

The tabs work well when I upgraded my browser. Thanks for the advice.
