Hi,
I have a Sony Vaio PCG-885L, and I accidentally spilled milk onto the keyboard. Now, the keys either don't respond at all, or they don't do what they're suppposed to (ie. my Q key types an I). When I restarted it, it kept beeping until Windows was done loading. Does anyone know what I can do and what may be broken?
Thanks for your help.

Welcome to the PC Guide forums!
I did a quick search and came up with this for the keyboard:

I have no connection with or experience with this outfit, but they did carry it. $135.00 plus shipping for a reconditioned keyboard. How much milk did you spill into it?

As a temp solution you can do this if you're running XP.
Use the On-Screen Keyboard
An on-screen keyboard is built into Windows XP. It can be useful if you have mobility impairments, if you are using a tablet PC, or if your keyboard breaks down unexpectedly. To access the on-screen keyboard, go to Start, then click Run, and then type osk. Now the keyboard opens on your computer screen, featuring three typing modes you can use to type data:

Having fixed many keyboards in my time. If you can remove the keyboard to replace it, you can remove it to clean it.
I would remove the keyboard and clean the keys and the connections on the lap-top itself. Method of cleaning would be based on the materials once you opened it up.

Thanks for the replies. I spilled about 1/3 of a cup. How do you remove the keys? I tried to lift them out with a small screwdriver and it gets stuck at an angle.

You will have to:
1) Look in the manual
2) Look for the manual on line
3) Call Sony Tech support....
