Hi all, I have managed to set up a LAN with two laptops through a router... It seems to be all fine, except for one reason: I can see PC2 from PC1, but when I go in PC2 to My network >> workgroup >> PC1 it appears a pop-up box asking me for user name and password!!! I tried many, but the fact is that I have no idea why it is asking me for a user/password, and which user/password should be.
Both PC are sharing a folder.
Both PC has WXP Pro.
Guest accounts disabled. I log in with Administrator accounts.
TCP/IP protocol running on both.
Same workgroup, different computer names.
Same Firewall running in both computers.
The only thing is that I am connected with different user name (but same password). However, this (and the fact that I have a firewall in both PCs)should not be a problem since from PC1 I can access PC2's shared folder perfectly and I am not prompt to any password.
Do you have any idea?? Great challenge isn't it? ;-)
