Hi peeps,
I have just built a PC with a WinFast K7S-741MG mobo, SiS 741 chipset.
AMD Sempron CPU..

The driver CD that came with the mobo is dead, I have managed to get all drivers apart from this.

in device manager, under other devices:
Universal Serial Bus (USB) Controller

Shows up as not recognised?
I have been searching and installing USB 2.0 drivers for nearly 2 hourse and nothing rectifies the problem.

However, further down the list in device manager under USB Controllers, everything is showing up fine:
SiS7001 PCI to USB OpenHost controller
USB root hub

I have downloaded a chipset utility, and for USB contains 3 files:
SIS_LIB.DLL
SISPORT
SISUSBrg
??????? Are these usefull?

Any hints?

Which OS and if WinXP you will need to be running at least SP1 to get native USB2 support.

Not recognised sounds like hardware not properly detected or enabled in the BIOS.

winxp with no service pack.
Aaah, just disabled USB2.0 in BIOS.

Thanks
