I have a HP desktop and the power supply and motherboard gone bad so I switch it out and put in a similar Hp motherboard in. But went I start it up again, it will not get through the HP screen, I can't get to the bios setup. I don't have a windows xp disk or recovery disks because it was sold in the harddrive partition. Is there a way to get this fix or get it boot so I can install a different windows system or do I have to borrow / buy a new windows XP disk again to get it boot up and have it working again?

When you say you put in a similar HP mobo, how similar was it? Sometimes on OEM machines, a piece of the BIOS is stored on the hard drive, so an identical mobo must be used in order to even POST. We'll need more details about this HP hardware you're using.
