Invalid vxd dynamic link?

While trying to install win 98 I encountered this
" Invalid vxd dynamic link call ro device 3 . Service B
Your windows configuration is invalid. Run setup again to correct this problem."

When I restart I get the start up menu options
I choose Safe Mode and that is what I get..
If I run set up I still get the same message.
Can anyone help me??

Sound like you are trying to install 98 from Windows because of the Safe Mode referrence.

First, why are you installing? Are you having problems? Have you backed up what you need? Please explain in full, what you've done and how you have tried.
