Heres my issue, I moved next door to my big brother in an apartment complex and he has DSL. We decided to share his connection with me.
I already had a belkin wireless router and an extra 11G card for his laptop.
So we hooked the wireless router up and got his end all set up. He has access with his laptop (wireless) and his desktop (wired). My laptop (wireless) got a small signal in my living room (26%), And about a 65% signal in one of my extra bedrooms (which will become my office). I already have another belkin wireless acces point and im using a network anywhere wired 4port router. My plan is to use the access point connected into my wired router then from there to all my PCs.
When I plug in the acess point and the router together they seem to work fine. The lights on the AP all seem to be fine and the router seems to be acting right aswell. The internet light is on the WIRED router and so are any of the ports that are pluged into the router.
How ever when i click on the IE or FIREFOX icons to start my interneting, they both come up with page cannot be found.
There is another wireless network around that is using 64 bit encryption. Ours is not encrypted at this point so we could try to get evreything set up.
When I turn on My laptop it automatically detects the other wireless network (the encrypted one) and asks me for my passphrase before i even try to select another network, MY NETWORK.
How do i access my acess point so that i can tell it to only use the network that is coming form my brothers apt. next door, and not the other wireless network thats coming from somewhere else?
Is there a net work manager software that i can run to make sure the AP in my house is on the rite network?
HELP.
BTW all computers are running Windows XP. There are 3 laptops (2 with cards, and 2 desktops)

BTW im currently on my Laptop in my home. I AM GETTING A WIRELESS SIGNAL HERE! But i cannot seem to take it from wireless back to wired to make my desktops work.
