custom pc problems

Well i just got done building my pc. I have installed windows xp home edition. I have set it up, and i got to the part where it reboots. I will reboot, but will not go past a message at the bottom that says verifying dmi pool data. It just will not go past it. Please help me, as this is the first pc i have ever built.

thanks, i think its my hard drive. I took it out of our old computer.
