I installed a new harddrive, have a nice little OS, but am not sure how to set up the comp to accept it. Is there a book that explains how to do this?
thanks,

Which one is that "nice OS"? If you have connected the cables properly and drive to the proper channel with proper jumper setting. Your drive should be detected. In some older systems, you may have to setup the BIOS to detect/auto-detect the new hard disk. And then you have to partition the new hard disk and then format it with proper file system(FAT/NTFS). Now you can use the drive. It seems to me that there is already another drive with OS present in that system and the new drive is brand new and additional. In that case you can use the utilities that comes with the OS to do the necessary partitioning and formatting. However, If the new drive is the only drive in the system and is brand new(without any OS), you'll have to boot the system from a bootable disk(Win98 boot floppy will do) and do the necessary partition and formatting stuff. Or you can use a bootable Windows Installation CD to install Windows and do the partitioning and formatting as part of the installation routine.
Give us some more info as to how far you've gone and what os you are using?
Post back so that we can help you.
