After a problem trying to start up my system this Am, and trying to save the harddrive, when we re-started and typed in my password, a message popped up stating something about 'Ordinal 6467' and MF642.dll. I can't get past that point.
Any thoughts?

I think this is what your looking for??
Symptom: The ordinal 6467 could not be located in the dynamic link library MFC42.DLL.
Symptom: Access violation error (application crash).
Symptom: Program stops with no error message.
Solution: These messages typically occur if you are running older versions of the Windows drivers - eg. the MFC42.DLL file - or if inconsistent versions are running.
LanTrend 2.0, LanExplorer 3.0 support MFC42 v4.xx.xxxx
LanExplorer 3.1, TrafficMax 3.0 support MFC42 v6.00.8267
LanExplorer 3.5, TrafficMax 3.1, LanTrend 2.5 support MFC42 v6.00.8447
If you have an older product trial, upgrade to the latest product from our Download page. If you need to purchase a product upgrade, email sales@intellimax.com. If you have an older MFC42 file, you will need to upgrade the MFC42 version to be consistent with the product version (per the above). Download new MFC42 files as follows:
MFC42 v6.00.8267
MFC42 v6.00.8447
Save the new MFC42 file in the WINNT\SYSTEM32 directory or the WINDOWS\SYSTEM directory.

Thanks for the quick response!
Despite attempts to re-start and re-load emergency repair software mutiple times, the 'ordinal 6467 / dynamic link library MFC42.DLL " message still comes up and we can't get into the system, so we can't download any of those files you mentioned.
Thanks for your help (still trying other stuff...)

Press the Ctrl key(F8 for Win 95) during startup, select 'Step-By-Step Confirmation' from the startup menu, press Enter, press Enter for each item you want to load at startup, press the ESC key(or whatever key is specified) for the mfc42.dll file if it shows up to prevent it from loading. See if this gets Windows to load.
