Whilst putting some new memory in my rig, I noticed something: The inside of my case is a wreck. I've got power source cables strewn all about, blocking airflow, and I've got a quandry I can't seem to find I way out of. You see, my HDD is mounted, oh, I'd say about TWO INCHES from my IDE port. This leads me to the tricky situation where the ribbon cable plugs into the HDD, curves sharply upward, then sharply back downward, then plugs into the mobo. I can't mount the HDD any lower, because then it would collide with my gargantuan Ti4600. Another complication from this is the fact that my Floppy port is (inexplicably) on the OTHER SIDE of my hdd, meaning the ribbon cable has to travel UNDERNEATH my hdd to get make the journey from the port to the drive. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to:
1. Clean up the mess of power cords?

2. Solve my HDD IDE cable quandry?

1. The power cords can be bundled with twist or zip ties.

2. You can install either a shorter or a circular(more expensive) HD IDE cable.

You can disconnect one wire at a time and route it to the sides for bundling (not at the center of your fan airflow). There maybe short wires, so bundle them also together.
