Happy Birthday Amiga

Today is the Amiga's 20th (http://hardware.slashdot.org/hardware/05/07/23/1349240.shtml?tid=138&tid=137)

I didn't know where else to put this. I have a special place in my heart for that machine. I bought one around 1986 or 87...an Amiga2000HD. I used it for 3D modeling and animation. It's no understatement to say it was ahead of its time. The Amiga actually OWNED the personal computer market in Europe for a while. It was only a cult machine here and eventaully died a sad death thanks to Commodore. :mad: Damn it was good--twenty years ago :(

Yeah, I've read about that one in the history books, but I was too young to own one. Some of you guys on here are OLD! :p

Anyway, happy birthday, Amiga! May you forever remain a milestone in the annals of computer history.

I had an Amiga 500. It only had 512K of RAM, but I saved up $90.00 to buy another 512K chip so I could get an even 1 meg of RAM. I had a great time with that system... HAPPY B-DAY!!! Next year when you turn 21 I'll take you out and get you drunk..... :)

wow never realized I was THAT old lol. I had an Amiga 500 for a while :p was the best computer I ever had, it's noce to know people still remember the name
