Ummm... it exists! :p I've never really spent much time pondering this one, I'm afraid. I wouldn't know how to go about getting into it. Maybe a Google search would help?

you're going to have to define getting into the industry. its easy to get a few scantily clad people pics and sell them to your friends. (but then again, they can get them themselves cant they?)
as for being an active participant in said artistic industry... you had better be something special.

Ok, I am a little upset...I cannot believe that we are doing a subject on Porn and making light of its impact on our culture. :( Maybe reading this will help you understand how I feel about Porn especially in light of the murder of Jessica lunsford and many other children who are victims of Porn. I am not going to go into a 10 page tirade I think you understand. I am sorry but I just could not sit back and say nothing.

I don't know that we are having a discussion about porn so much as someone posted a dubious question and the rest of us are either saying the question is a bit silly or that it is simply not a good place to post it...

Well--part of the question asked what we thought of it and gracious answered the question as to what she thought of it. And, gracious, as my father-in-law would have said, "I agree with you 200%!" So I'm also answering the question. In my opinion, that was a darn good answer. We have to remember that little kids, also, get on the Internet. And they don't have to show an I.D. to get on one of those sites.

Ok, I am a little upset...I cannot believe that we are doing a subject on Porn and making light of its impact on our culture.As I said, I don't really think much about the porn industry. I don't endorse porn, I don't surf the internet for porn, I don't subscribe to any porn-related magazines, I don't pass out dirty pictures to little kids in malls, and I certainly don't solicit children for sacriligious acts of dangerous porn stunts! I'm a little upset back at you! I realize that I (and several others) cracked a joke here and there, but that doesn't mean we support the people who do these things! I also realize that I'm no porn expert by any sense of the phrase, and I may have come across as crass and apathetic. But porn is not my area of expertise! Nor will it ever be. I can't save the world. I'm only one person. If I were really dead-set on saving kids from porn, I would be involved in anti-porn forums, not here on the PC Guide forums! I'm doing my part right here to try and make this world a better place, so don't think you can make me feel guilty just because I make one little joke about a subject I know very little about. The main reason I made a joke at all is because, like Budfred said, this porn question is so atrociously out of place here!
As I said, I'm a hardware geek, not a porn star. This has nothing to do with me. So next time you feel like I'm part of the problem, why don't you just ask me?

I think this is a bad subject to discuss, as many have strong opinions on it and this forum is a bit too nice and friendly for too serious discussions. Let's talk about something else - how about the recent Chicken theft fiasco in Greater Mongolia? You put all your trust in poultry and as soon as your back is turned.. **BAM** .. your TV is gone along with your DVD player, PC, microwave, and (&$% ^#%$ them!) your bottle opener and a whole crate of beer! What is the morale to this story? Don't ask why the chicken is crossing the road, just drive straight for it and hope your suspension doesn't bottom-out!
That is my opinion on this issue. Tell me to shut-up if I am blabbing.

The fact that you say that you are no expert in Porn and that you don't endorse porn doesn't mean it is not affecting you.
