clearing a hard drive

hey guys i was just wondering how i can delete everything off my hard drive without reinstalling windows (want to sell the hard drive) thanks a lot

You could hook it up as slave drive, then right click and selest format and just format it, but this would mean that any personal data could be retrieved with the correct software.

Or you could format it and then run a software similar to eraser

By doing this you will ensure that any data is almost impossible to recover. There are other programs (freeware - as is Eraser) that do this as well.

The drive manufacturers' software is also free and usually includes a tool to zero fill the drive.
