Does anyone know if it is possible to read the data from the RAMs eprom. The reason is that one of my 3 sticks of DDR 2700 Ram has gone bad and I need to return it . However ,when I got the RAM I stupidly removed the stickers with serial numbers on them (wanted to fit some coolers..), and even though I have kept them, I now have gone and confused which RAM sticks they go on. The RAM sticks themselves have no obvious markings. Guess what....one of these sticks has now gone bad and I need to return it, but unless I put the correct sticker on I think the company will refuse to accept it ( Label clearly states 'if removed this invalidates the warranty' ).
Therefore does anyone know of software which can read the eprom to reveal the serial numbers?
Thanks.

There are several RAM ID/checking programs that will read the data, one that I sometimes use is c'tspd, it can be a little hard to find and usually if found the page is in German....try here: http://www.heise.de/ct/ftp/ctspd.shtml

If you can't find it let me know

Thanks for replying,
I tried the program but it says that the 'chipset is not found'.
It's Nanya DDR 2700 type.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
