I found that reading the following books (which I read months before decided to change careers into IT, and before I attempted ANY certifications) helped me out a LOT more than any of the study guides: "Crypto" by Steven Levy, "Practical Cryptography" by Niels Ferguson/Bruce Schneier, "Stealing the Network: How to Own the Box/Continent" by Syngress (various authors), and "Network Security: A Hacker's Perspective" by Ankit Fadia. I passed SY0-101 exam with an 876 out of 900. The Security+ exam is designed for IT professionals who possess at least two years of experience working in a networked environment. It's also advisable to have some hands-on experience in the world of information security.

I know I had some questions wrong and I could have gone back and put more time on them questions, but for what, I knew I pass. Looking for Security+ certification. What book you suggested I'll go for that. There is no choice for me b'coz ucertify simulation i used for Network+ certification, and passed. Just curious, but how long does it usually take for CompTia to get the certificates out to people once they pass a test? I did'nt get yet. I had seen on ucertify sites that they are providing new questions with latest updates with new Prep engine. Offers addedtime to time to provide quality stuff.
