Ok i have an internet that is kinda like a cell phone. It recieves the signal from local towers and then is hooked into my router. Like a cell phone when it looses signal from one tower it goes to the next strongest one. When this happens my router doesn't understand this and i have to restart the router to get it to realize that it is still connected. The Router is a Netgear WGR614 v5.
When i have the internet hooked directly up to the computer, it never experience these problems so it has to be some where in my router. If anyone has any suggestions let me know.

The problem is likley caused by the modem not establishing a connection with the new tower, in the WAN connection area of your router set up is where I would look for settings to modify. I would look for something tht says Automatically restablish connection or somehting along those lines.
I would still turn off DHCP in the router and statically assign all IP's on the ethernet side (your PC and the ethernet port of the router). If the problem is a DHCP one this will solve the issue. Since your WAN side is changing constantly I would staticlly assign whatever I could. I would also statically assign DNS entries in the router and PC.
How fast of Internet can you get in your truck?

I'm intrigued too. how fast can you drive without it affecting the signal? (legally within speed limits :p)
