There are more exams out there than you can shake a stick at!

Most recognised:
Microsoft (for their OS etc obviously)
CompTIA (everything from general PC repair to servers, security & Linux)
Cisco (Probably the most widely respected network qualifications)
HP - servers, pcs etc

You can also gain certs from Red Hat (linux) Sun, Mac, Checkpoint, and oodles more.

It all depends which sort of area you want to move into. Are you thinking of taking some certs?

No, not really moving into, just something in hand is always much better than nothing.

I never know there are many exams like that, thanks a lot

Which one/s to take really depends a lot on what you are planning or hopping to accomplish. I recently graduated with a BS in computer science, and am looking to take some certifications to help me get a job and be prepared for the real world. I am currently working on my CCNA (begining Cisco networking cert). As I am looking at potential jobs I think it might have been a poor choice as many of the jobs that I might otherwise be qualified for require A+. Jobs requiring CCNA seem to be requiring more actual work experience.

I decided to take the CCNA because I started taking some of the material while I was still in school and thought it would be easy enough to continue on and get the certification.
