Download AdAware (http://www.lavasoft.de/support/download/) and Spybot S&W (http://www.safer-networking.org/). Then configure AdAware per the instructions found here (http://www.pcguide.com/vb/showthread.php?t=31406) and run both programs.
They may remove the malware for you but it would be a good idea to run a HijackThis (http://www.subratam.org/?page=removal) scan and post it in a reply here so we can see if there is any other nasties in your system that your antivirus software is not finding.
By the way, you cannot get by with just a simple antivirus software these days. You need a good firewall, plus programs such as IE Spyads, SpywareBlaster and SpywareGuard to help thwart any attempts by malicious sites trying to install 'badware' on your pc such as keyloggers and other junk. After you get cleaned up, make sure to implement programs such as these for 'help' in the prevention of future problems.
Also, if you haven't already, install SP-2 if you use XP. But DO NOT install it unless your pc is spotlessly clean of malware and virii as it is known to have problems if you try installing onto a pc with problems.

If this is what I think it is, the fix will be complex... Do not run the CWS fix until we see what the problem is...
Please do not post the CWShredder log again, it is not helpful... We do need to see a HijackThis log as has already been said...

Please be patient... This is a complex fix, as I said earlier, and I have a life outside of dealing with malware... I will have time when I get home later today to work out the whole fix for you... Please don't post any other logs unless someone who knows how to help comes by earlier and asks for them... The only one we need at this point is the HJT log... The last 3 posts were not needed...
If someone else comes along and knows how to deal with this, feel free to jump in... Otherwise I will be back this evening (CST)...

Okay... You are probably going to want to print this out so that you can follow the steps all the way through... This fix needs to be done completely or the infection will not die... You also need to move HJT to a permanent folder before you start the fixes or it will be deleted...
Please download, install, and update the free version of Ewido trojan scanner (http://www.ewido.net/en/download/):
When installing, under "Additional Options" uncheck "Install background guard" and "Install scan via context menu".
Run Ewido --- When you run it for the first time, you will get a warning "Database could not be found!". Click OK. We will fix this in a moment.
From the main ewido screen, click on update in the left menu, then click the Start update button.
After the update finishes (the status bar at the bottom will display "Update successful")
Exit Ewido. DO NOT scan yet.
Download CCleaner (http://www.ccleaner.com/ccdownload.asp) and install, but do not run it yet.
Please download the Nailfix utility (http://www.noidea.us/easyfile/file.php?download=20050711214630636).
DO NOT run it yet.
Download DSRFIX from HERE (http://www.atribune.org/downloads/dsrfix.zip) onto your Desktop.
Unzip and EXTRACT the files to your Desktop.
The program creates and names the new folder to house the files.
DO NOT RUN IT YET
Please download Advanced Process Termination from:
http://www.diamondcs.com.au/downloads/apt.zip
Unzip it to the desktop. Do not run it yet...
Reboot into Safe Mode.
Restart your computer and start pressing the F8 key on your keyboard. On a computer that is configured for booting to multiple operating systems, you can press the F8 key when you the Boot Menu appears.
Select an option when the Windows Advanced Options menu appears, and then press ENTER.
When the Boot menu appears again, and the words "Safe Mode" appear in blue at the bottom, select the installation that you want to start, and then press ENTER.
Once in Safe Mode, please double-click on nailfix.exe. Click "Next" in the setup, then make sure "Run Nailfix" is checked and click "Finish". Your desktop and icons will disappear and reappear, and a window should open and close very quickly --- this is normal.
Next, run Ewido again.
Click on the Scanner button in the left menu, then click on Complete System Scan. This scan can take quite a while to run.
If ewido finds anything, it will pop up a notification. We have been finding some cases of false positives with the new version of Ewido, so we need to step through the fixes one-by-one. If Ewido finds something that you KNOW is legitimate (for example, parts of AVG Antivirus, pcAnywhere and the game "Risk" have been flagged), select "none" as the action. DO NOT check "Perform action with all infections". If you are unsure of an entry, select "none" for the time being. I'll see that in the log you will post later and let you know if ewido needs to be run again.
When the scan finishes, click on "Save Report". This will create a text file. Make sure you know where to find this file again.
Open the folder dsrfix
Double click on the dsrfix batch file( the one with the little gear in it )
Once dsrfix has completed it will close on its own
Then run HijackThis, click Scan, and place a checkmark by the following items if they appear in the log:
R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Bar = http://websearch.drsnsrch.com/sidesearch.cgi?id=
R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Page = http://websearch.drsnsrch.com/sidesearch.cgi?id=

Close all open windows except for HijackThis and click Fix Checked.
Now, run CCleaner.
[b]Uncheck "Cookies" under "Internet Explorer".
Click on Run Cleaner in the lower right-hand corner. This can take quite a while to run.
Now you need to run another fix in exactly the steps noted... However, the file name may be different... You need to look for the file in the HJT log that has the "r" after like in the O4 item listed... If you don't kill it before rebooting, it will reinfect and bring in other infections:
Double-click on My Computer and navigate to C:\WINDOWS\System32. Locate the file lqltpk.exe. Don't delete it yet, just leave the System32-folder open so you can see the bad file.
Now run APT.exe. Locate the process lqltpk.exe. Select this process and click Kill 3.
Then immediately return to the My Computer window to your System32 folder. Delete lqltpk.exe.
Then run HijackThis, click Scan, and check:
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [hmqijj] c:\windows\system32\lqltpk.exe r
Close all open windows except for HijackThis and click Fix Checked.
Now find and delete:
C:\Program Files\BullsEye Network\bin\bargains.exe (whole folder)
C:\WINDOWS\cfgmgr52.dll
C:\WINDOWS\system32\vms_ps.dll
C:\WINDOWS\svcproc.exe
C:\Program Files\ubca\ahbn.exe
C:\WINDOWS\tuhppowqxse.exe
This one is tricky... It will have an odd character in it where the 'i" should be... Do NOT delete winlogon.exe - it is an important Windows file...
C:\WINDOWS\system32\w?nlogon.exe
Finally, restart your computer in normal mode and please post a new HijackThis log, as well as other logs requested in the fixes... Note how things went as well....

Are you working on this?? I put a lot of time into putting this fix together for you, it would be nice to know that you are actually using it... Also, the slimers who wrote these programs are doing their best to steal whatever they can from you as long as these programs remain on your computer, so it is a good idea to kill them promptly...

Hi Budfred. This thread is exactly like the one I am struggling with over at swi, as you know. So I am also very interested to see if ComputerNewb had any success with that fix.
ComputerNewb, lots of people are depending on your reply, so please be courteous and let Budfred know that his work is appreciated, by following his instructions. Thanks.
