Turning off autorun

Hey guys i was just wondering how i turn off auto run for my cd drive, i went to regedit to cd rom and gave the autrun figure a "0" (what it said to do on a turtorial) but that isnt working for some reason, what else would i maybe need to do? im running windows xp

i have a prog. called creative juke box (i think) for my ipod deal and everytime i insert a cd it pops up in that program, i disabled autoplay on the drive and i couldnt find anything to disable the jukebox, and ideas how i can stop the jukebox from popping up?

Open another media player and see if you can set it as default. The one that's opening is the default player for that filetype. Then set the program so that it does not play automatically on inserting a CD. You might open Creative and see if it has a similar setting, I'm not familiar with it, but both Nero Media Player and Windows Media Player will let you set an option to not play a CD automatically when it is inserted. It's harder to get WMP to really do it, but I think it can be set...
