Hello,
I attempted to share a Cd Drive on my network. The other computer saw the drive and i can get access, but there is one problem. I have the game Starcraft installed on both PC#1 and PC#2 (PC#1 is Sharing the Drive.)When i get PC#2 to use the game CD from PC#1, it gives me a "no cd in drive" error. Please help.. Thanks !

i think there's some form of copy protection in action here.
you could try mapping the drive... or ... wait. I think there's something in the rules about this

When you install a program that requires a CD to be in the drive to play, the setup remebers the drive letter from the installation.
Let's say you installed the game from the CD-ROM on your PC Drive D. If you now try to play the game from a mapped drive in a different PC, lets say drive H, it will not work.
You have two choices:
1) Look at the settings of the game and chnage the drive letter to match the drive in the networked PC
2) Re-install the game from the mapped drive.

Starcraft is old, you can find a a no cd hack that will fix the issue. Since you own the cd I have no problem with no cd hacks, what the difference in using a mapped drive anyway. Your playing two games with one cd.. I use them when I play a game so that I don't need to swap CD's back and forth. Newer online games won't allow it but old games like starcraft will I'll bet.
