i have some systems which doesnt show the mother board make/model on the motherboards.so can any one help me how to find out the mother board make/model.i have tried using "ctbios" but still i am not able to find out my systems motherboard make/model.
also how can i find RAM and bus speed.
kindly help me in this matter

When you turn on a computer you will see the BIOS identification string near the top left corner of the screen or at the bottom left.Copy down this number and then go to a place like, http://www.motherboardx.com/category/mbindex.cfm

also how can i find RAM and bus speed.

this will also be in the Bios screen.When you identify your board go to there web site and look for a PDF manual that will give you all the specs, of the board.Also go here and D/L " WCPUID " this will give you some info on the board

thanks for your info.the info that u provided especially the WCPUID tool was really a great tool. i was looking for this tool for a long time.thanks once again.

A little program I have found useful is HWInfo (http://www.hwinfo.com), runs from DOS and can be run off a bootable floppy....
