Reinstall Win XP problems

I Get this Message when i try and reinstall Win XP:

Sounds like you have an XP cd that is XP SP1 or earlier, and your current installation is SP2. Seems I got that same error message a few months ago when I did a repair install on a coworkers machine.

If that is the case, you will be fine other than having to reinstall SP2 and any other recent updates.

Apparently you are trying to reinstall xp on top of an existing one. That is most always considered a no-no because you get duplicate files and besides, it usually runs into problems eventually if not right away. To properly reinstall you should backup your files you want to save and reformat the drive, then install fresh and reinstall the saved files such as music, videos, word docs etc.
