I have an emachine 366i2 Celeron with the 440LX chipset(i think) that I'd like to upgrade the CPU. Basically I've been reading about these "slockets" and wanted to know if anyone knew if I could use this product to upgrade my CPU to an Pentium III CPU. Please advise...

That particular model utilized a Socket 370 motherboard and only supports the Celeron 300A/333/366/400/433/466/500/533MHz processor. That 440LX chipset is probably about 8 years old. Oh how the industry has changed since then. :D
Okay, now the truth. I don't think you can upgrade to the Pentium III since your board is based on the 440LX chipset and the particular board for your model is limited at 66 MHz and can't go any faster. Here's a link (http://www.emachineupgraders.info/dir1/motherboards/socket370/floridatg.shtml) showing the full specs on the motherboard supposedly used in that model.

Hmmm... it looks like you're pretty limited there. If the FSB is locked at 66MHz, and it only supports up to a Celeron 533... that's all you can do with a reasonable amount of money. It won't support a faster speed Coppermine PIII, and a PIII wouldn't be any good on a 66MHz FSB anyway.
If you've got a Celeron 366 in there now, and if you can find a Celeron 500/533 Mendocino, then go for it. Even that small upgrade would be nice. If not, start over, buy new parts. It can't be upgraded beyond 533MHz for any reasonable amount of money.
