Does anyone else's message disappear when switching from browser to desktop? (Not the reason for post)
Anyway ... to the reason I am here.
For the porn!
But first!!
I try (tried) erasing 2 folders but get this error:
Cannot delete ___________.: Cannot find the specified file.
Make sure you specify the correct path or file name.
_________ = CAGHMFS9 and CA09UZCH
Searched using Yahoo, no success.
Searched Microsoft, and atleast I couldn't find the solution.
Someone suggested to try to uncheck:
'For fast searching, allow Indexing Service to index this folder'
(Right click folder > Properties > Advanced)
And nada.
Any idea?
... I'll do a more thorough search in the forums and either edit or delete the post .. which you may never knew existed    :D

Have you gone into safemode and tried to delete from there?
Or tried renaming them. (oyu might have ot go to the properties by right clicking it and taking any tick out of the read only box first.
By the looks of the message it is as though the files have already been removed and you are left with links to them.
When doing a search for them and working with the letters I came up with a hit for them whilst juggling the lettering (I will not post the links for these hits just in case some one tries to download the files that tries to download when you click on the link in the google result - if any maleware guru wants the link I will send by PM) These may be harmless but from the looks of the brief description they are not so innocent.

Well I'm more than positive they aren't harmful.
Also, they only show when I choose 'show system files', with 0kB in size as well.
I also have scanned (w/ AVG, Ad-Aware and Spybot SD), not because of these files, just (bi)weekly scanning. I did just AVG and SpySD the folder and everything was clean and good.
Ok I didn't mention in my first post.
Nothing is wrong, I get no mysterious errors, shutdowns, slow CPU, so they aren't a nuisance just an annoyance.

No go on Safe Mode.
Tried Wednesday.
Same error, and if I try to delete the file seperately (Not deleting the folder), I get:
Cannot delete file: Cannot read from the source file or disk.

Thanks for the link, but no.
It's ina folder that was never used as an application/program, and not being needed by one.
The ONLY thing I could think of is it being a torrent file.
But normally they come out as the file name not as the filenames I got.
I wouldn't even know where tolook for them to try and find the same one(s)

Alright.
But never used the command prompt.
When opened, it says:
C:\Documents and Settings\Owner>
Where do I go from there?
And what do I do when I get there?

Have you tried renaming the FOLDER? and the tried to delete it.
have you tried renaming the file so that it has a diffent group of letters AFTER the .(dot) to something like thisfile.old or thisfile.123 and then tried to delete it?
from the above link
Go to My Computer> C: drive or whatever letter it is in your case> Windows> Desktop and try to delete the file from there.
Now look for your USER NAME.
Next click on the PLUS sign next to your user name (this will open up another list)
Now look for the DESKTOP folder and click it.
Now try delelting the offending folders from here.
Do NOT delete the DESKTOP folderjust the offending folder

#1:
I checked my 'windows folder' and I have no 'desktop folder' inside.
#2:
What about the thumbs file that's also in there with the 2 undeleteable files, would that hold anything to help delete it ?

No NOT your WINDOWS folder.
Open Windows Explorer (go to start button and RIGHT click it)
Now look for EXPLORE and LEFT click it.
You should now be presented with a window that is divided into two parts (one large - on the right hand side -- and one small on the left hand side)
In the LEFT hand window (the smaller one) you will see a list. Look down this list and you should see (as in the attached picture). As you can see there is a folder here called DESKTOP.
LEFT click the + (plus) sign next to it and this will expand the list.
Now look for the offending file/folder and try deleting from here

Oops. I thought the layout would be like 9x versions. My bad. XP is in the other room and I was too lazy to go check the path.
Another way besides Ernie's is to do a search for desktop in 'Find Files and Folders'. I have 3 Desktop folders in F: which is my XP partition. One has all but 2 of my Desktop icons (all users), a second one has the other 2 (my user) and the third one (admin) is empty.
