desktop and wireless question

Got one question, does it matter what kind of computer you have? (AMD/Intel) and can you use a wireless router to an Intel desktop and a wireless usb adapter to an AMD destop sharing the same network?

It matters which OSes you use, because you do need drivers that support the connection.
It does not matter whether Intel or AMD as long as both are using TCP/IP protocol to connect to the LAN
