I need to get a new laptop. In my mind there are 2, one is HP Pavilion Dv1317AP (Pentium 1.83G, 512Mb memory) and Toshiba M50-P345 (Pentium 1.6G, 1Gb memory. Both are the same price in Singapore. I need it for working with Photo editing softwares like PHOTOSHOP CS2 and some other multimedia stuffs.
Anyone can advice??
Thanks
Vincent

I am partial to Toshiba notebooks in the mid-price range, some here would also recommend Acer notebooks for the good quality/price point.

Toshiba.
Slightly slower processor but double the RAM, smaller, faster default HDD (60GB @ 5400RPM vs 80 @ 4200), dedicated graphics solution, comparable displays, longer Toshiba battery life...allegedly (YMMV).
