the radeon x700 agp version is not on the list of video cards (the pci-e is) i know a couple people that have cards working in bf2 not on the list- would it be safe to have that card?

Well what type of system do u have, do u have a pci-e or do u have a Agp slot.
do you have this the vid card already? your question is incomplete.
will the 700 work? if you have it, try it. If your going to buy a new card will it be for gaming then buy the 6600, 6800 agp/pci-e . they work.

well all i was simply looking for was someone to say they had the x700 agp- with bf2 working fine the i would go ahead and purchase it but to be certain i will select a card of the list probably the 6600 and possibly the 6800 thanks alot

The game developers use those lists as guidelines. Those are the vid cards that underwent thorough testing in their debug systems. Obviously, you can't hit all of them before the game is released, so some are left out. And sometimes the budget isn't always there to test every vid card out there, so some are left out that way. That doesn't mean another vid card won't work, it just means it wasn't tested by them.
You're not playing Russian Roulette here. It's not a matter of the X700 AGP version not working, it's just a matter of performance at that point. And if it's not the X700 Pro, don't bother...
