athlon processor 1200 changed to 600

I recently turned on 6 month old computer with athlon 1200 processer and it reads only 600 hz processer now at start up. Computer is running slower now. Whats with that? heeelp

Your system may have reset itself into safe boot in the bios.
This is caused by a failed boot or boot error.
The Bios resets the speed back to a slower default speed to enable you to diagnose the proplem

The cure is simple.
At boot during the post enter the Bios setup and change the clock multiplier to the correct settings for the 1.2 .
Save and exit.
reboot and you should see your correct cpu speed.
