ATI 850 xt ,nevida 6800 ultra or Ge Force 7800GTX

What is the best card for gaming? who makes the best ati card and who makes the best Nevida card..I think BFG makes the best Nivida card.. I Have had 3 generations of ATi but started with 3 generations of nevida first. I Just got a NEC LCD 190GX.. what difference in the colors depth in gameing... i have a pci Xpress 700 now.BF2 lags on high
but the graphics are out of sight..So looking too get the no lag and the best card..

The absolute best? That's easy - the 7800 GTX. The X850 XT PE and the 6800 UE trade blows in various games (D3D vs OpenGL) but the 7800 GTX has 24 frickin' pipelines! The others have "only" 16. :rolleyes: Not much of a match...

Have you noticed that the price/performance ratio has stayed the same, though? Except, the ceiling is higher now! Odd. Vid cards continue to advance at a near unbreakable pace. The CPU is no longer the "builder's pet". RAM is cheap and plentiful, relatively speaking. And game performance out-of-the-box is insane. I just can't get over it, I guess. Or maybe I just think too much. Whatever.
